«Lys i landskap»

In this joint project, Mari Krokann Berge and Sverre Aurstad present motifs mainly drawn from forest landscapes. When we began to see each other’s work, we discovered some common traits in the way we respond to these motifs. A common denominator is a preoccupation with the interplay between light and shadow. Both of us have chosen to abandon colour in favour of black and white and grey nuances. We also share a commitment to traditional, analogue craftsmanship.
